There are those moments in my life when I have tend hide, have a tantrum and kind of act like a child...well, today is one of those days. Time to visit the dentist today and it is probably my least favorite thing to do and sometimes wouldn't mind having someone hold my hand and say "just be brave". But as the time ticks by, and with my little men undergoing their cleaning at the same time I have to shake it off and act like it is no big deal. Time to act my age and put on my big girl pants. To calm my nerves while they are at school I am keeping myself busy cleaning, crafting and listening to some tunes from the 90's.
The "happy spring" card was created for Papertrey Ink's sketch challenge today. Used my Pink Paislee London Market paper, Papertrey dies and sentiment stamp from tag-its. Topped it off with my favorite felt flower. My second card was submitted for this week's challenge over on the Create blog. Valentine...
Added a few more varieties of yarn to my small collection for more flowers. Added a crochet flower, topped with a canvas button I created using the i-top, backed with pom-pom trim and added a little paper flower to the top of the button.

Happy day to you all! Another Papertrey challenge to dive into this morning and so excited about this one. I have mentioned so many times before...with a house of boys it is not common for me to craft for them but I have been making more of an effort.

So today my creation was inspired by the robots above...Used a mix and match of stamps...for instance, the antennas were created by using an ornament from Tag-Its #9, the background created from ticket die and the parts of the robot created from Home Made. There are more, but you get where I was going with it :) Think my little men will enjoy it. Ok, before I go just a little mini created yesterday...

I was recently asked to join Got Sketch for card sketch #138 and absolutely loved it. Of course I went with a few butterflies for the spring and mixed up the labels a bit. It is amazing to see how each person interprets the sketch. Well, cleaned my crafting space for something to come soon over at Chic Tags...a little get to know everyone. Love is so many things...I spend my Sunday mornings watching Super Soul Sunday on OWN for hours in my pjs while everyone gets ready for the day. I have always been one to watch a movie, documentary, or even just a conversation and walk away asking questions, wondering and keep those things that stand out the most tucked away in my mind for later. A couple of weeks back, during a mini film "Soul Pancake", they asked people to define "Love". No matter what age, background, etc. they all ended it with the same thing..."happiness". So true. Something that makes us smile, draws us in and makes our day a little brighter. I love love!So this is a place where I share my love for color, friendships and creativity...Today's collection of projects are a reflection of me this week and always thankful to have the opportunity to share it with others!

Some gloomy clouds are over our house today, fitting after a few off days. Realize that some days it is more difficult to put a smile on this face...oh do I try, but also realize that we have our moments for whatever reason and sometimes it just takes time to shake it off and move on. So, going bright and cheery today with Papertrey Ink's challenge...Love all of the free images and can't wait to use them all.

If you are a Papertrey Ink fan, like myself, you probably are participating in their anniversary celebration for the next week or so. Recently picked up the Friendship Jar stamp set and finally used it, and of course love it... Paired it with the Button Boutique stamp set, Prairie Bird Boutique wrinkle ribbon and some adorable tape from Martha Stewart. Happen to find this little orange butterfly and flower in my "this and that" drawer to give a little more color and dimension. This second card using the same set, but adding a little fabric and felt...When we moved to Florida six years ago I never realized how many butterflies we would get to see on a daily basis with flowers blooming year round here. Just the way their wings flutter, the amazing detail and color each has and there is just something calming about watching them scatter about. If only I could have a butterfly garden again, but with bees liking the same plants and my little men playing outside...not a good mix for us right now. Off to the craft store for some thread that is not pink, yellow or black. Not a football fan so much, so closing myself in the craft room and doing what I love most today.

Friday, down day, happy day, crafty day, oh my goodness what happened to our house day...yes, these can describe each and every Friday for us here...how about you? The kids are excited for the end of the week, as usual. We have eaten everything in the house and have become creative in making a meal. School papers and clothes are scattered about...just when you think you cleaned one corner of the room the other piles double in size. It is ok though...this is what happens and just gotta go with the flow.
Yesterday on the Momenta blog I created a tutorial on how to create this card and gift bag set...
Love making these. Lots of layers, as usual. Well, creating a bunch of new items to keep in my shop and can't wait to share them here soon. Busy weekend ahead and fun projects to share next week! Have fun this weekend!

It's Tuesday...my little men are home with me today, tucked in my bed with the ickies. Even with the way they feel they just can't help playing together and making noise. Poppin' in to share a couple of projects created for Momenta and Gel-A-Tins today.This first project puts a big ol' smile my face. Just recently trying to create more "boy" inspired projects and had a bunch of fun with the colorful Momenta paper and embellishments. It isn't that difficult to create something funky with such a wonderful mix of colors!

Spent the morning planning our first family trip...just the four of us. No airplanes, just us in a car driving for nine hours in some direction. Have to wait a few months, but the excitement is building among us already. Find it strange though to not be visiting family or having a bigger car load of travelers, but know that it is needed. Just another day here to share the last of my Pink Paislee projects for this week's reveal. Using Indigo Bleu and Mistables in this card...This next project is for She Art. Love, love, love the colors in this collection. Bold, bright and so artistic!Spent a little while building this box. Cut five 3.5" piece of cardstock as my pattern and laid out the wooden letters. Once each one was filled most of the way and connected at some point, a little glue was added. Allowed them to dry and used a clear 3" x 3" box to construct it. Created a paper piece to fit inside.This set is complete with dressed up pencils and created notepads to sit inside the box. Worth the work! Have a wonderful weekend. Off to spend the next two days with the family (no football this weekend keeping us indoors...I think). On last project to finish out my week using Spring Jubilee...Andrea

The rain was brief today...back to sunny and unusually warm. Although I am not one for snow...I might prefer that at this moment, my little men would agree I am sure. Happy Thursday to you all! Feeling a little bleu this morning...Indigo Bleu from Pink Paislee that is...ok, not so original in the delivery, but it had to be done. The newest reveal from their new collection... love the blue and yellow in each piece. Was able to create cards that had both a feminine and masculine feel to them. Each card features a little of each: paper, sticker border, die cuts, stamps, buttons, etc.Paired each card with coordinating wrinkle ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique. It is just amazing how she seems to have a color to match everything!

I wish...but Pink Paislee's London Market collection will make me just as happy today. This collection is filled with soft beautiful paper, adorable stamps and everything in between. Loved creating each and every page of this mini album...Found it a little funny creating a mini album that is so soft and shabby chic about my three boys, but hey...it is really for me to love and treasure and couldn't be happier about the outcome...especially with these smiling faces...

Although this card was to be set aside for an upcoming project I am working on...I couldn't help but share it tonight to brighten my day a little. Loving the yellow, purple combination and my favorite ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique! This little elephant stamped image with a birthday hat on his head is adorable and also apart of the Glitz stamp set I just received. Time to say goodnight to my two restless little men, read a little Captain Underpants (some of the names in these books make me laugh hysterically) and then retire for the night...extra early. And goodnight to you...

Busy, busy here and still working away on a few special projects that will be shared here very soon. For today I am sharing with you this little guy created for Epiphany Crafts today...Fun, funky and full of color. Super easy card to create in minutes and makes use of those smaller scraps of paper. Hand cut the monster's head, teeth, horns, nose and crown. Used a round and heart punch on the eyes, freckles and crown. Finally a few larger circle dies to create the eyes. Loved using my Momenta paper for this. The colors were perfect and my boys approved with little giggles. Well, off for a day of more crafting and then cleaning up the mess I made from a weekend of creating...before my hubby comes home as promised. Have a wonderful Monday!

So excited to share these today...as I am now a design team member of Chic Tags! Amazing products, love the designs and colors. This is my first project using printable tags...Week in the Life.
Also used my Epiphany Crafts round 14 punch, Prairie Bird Boutique wrinkle ribbon, bee chipboard sticker from Momenta and little bit of this and that to make it extra cheery. This second project is for Glue Arts today and my second attempt at creating a layout...
These are a few snapshots of my oldest at three again and it makes my heart melt just looking at his smile. Just looking at this again brings a tear to my eye. So thankful...now that he is almost eight...I still get to be goofy with him, hug on him and laugh with him often. No matter what age "mommy" is still the most common word in our house.
Now to scrap a few layouts of my littlest man next...

Missing this little man today. This photo was taken five years ago (wow!) and oh how I miss these moments when they were all smiles and had so many fun adventures. Getting back to scrapping recently, this one for Momenta yesterday, and realizing how time flies! Digging through some old photos last week and both smiles and tears while flipping through. It seems as though life sped up when school began for our oldest. The next card is for Gel-A-Tins today...You can find a complete list of supplies and additional photos on their blog here. I really believe that crafting is my therapy. After a battle with the sniffles and it's relatives that camped out for the week...I am back in the craft room! Thank you everyone for the well wishes...oh boy were they appreciated. So back to the cutting, sketching, stamping, gluing and the sewing machine. This project is posted today on the Epiphany Crafts blog here for Valentine's Day projects...Quilted a couple fabric hearts embellished with Epiphany Crafts buttons and lace flowers. The week has begun, struggle to get the kids off to school, a need for coffee but the lack of desire to drive to get any and the cleaning list is long...yep, it is Monday. Our weekend was relaxed, but full of fun here at home. Taking more time these days to cook each meal, open all of our curtains and let the sunshine in and getting my little men up and out of the house. Although I haven't picked a winner yet for the pincushion, I am here just to share a card I created which does not have a ruffle, ribbon or the color pink. Something inspired by my little men... Using a banner sticker from Pink Paislee, felt embellishments from Fancy Pants, wood die cut circles which have been stamped and glittered...then stitched and stitched and stitched. Loving the bright yellow and orange, today especially to get me up and moving. Be back here tomorrow to share my Gel-A-Tins card and it is sure to have a ruffle or two.

Hello Wednesday! It is cold here, believe it or not...what the news is referring to the cold weather as the "Florida Freeze". Kind of funny how dramatic it becomes to have a little cold weather. My toes are cold, my little men are sleeping with four blankets each and our fire alarms must not like the cold either as they keep going off in the middle of the night. Now that the house is quiet during the day, with school being back and all, things are slowly finding their place...cleaning has been underway for two days...and now I have a few moments to try something new.While my mom was visiting we began looking for video tutorials to learn a little about felting...creating your very own custom colors and looks. Came across some great ones on YouTube. The other day I began wondering about making my own flowers from yarn. When I was a kid my mom taught me the basic steps to crocheting and have used it a few times in the past but nothing more. Watched a video, rewinding and pausing many times, and figured it out. I only had this multi-colored yarn in my stash, but it works...Now to try it with different yarn, sizes and needles (isn't that what you call it?). I am always on a quest to learn more, even if the first few times it just doesn't turn out. My next attempt is quilting...This is my first project, a small pincushion. Just realized how long it would actually take to create a blanket while doing this mini pillow.

Thinking that Valentine's Day is on my mind lately. All of the heart stamps, pink papers and ribbon that remind me of the day has made it's way out and scattered about my craft table.This tag set was created for Gel-A-Tins today and features Love Knots and Coffee Break. Found a little stash of these little white paper pockets the other day and find them perfect for Valentines day to tuck in a few treats, gift card or note. Spent some part of yesterday crafting out this idea..Created these using the same white paper pocket, but dressed up a little different. The tag that is tucked away inside was created from Melissa Francis recipe cards, My Minds Eye stamp and Maya Road stamps. Punched a hold in the tag and threaded through Remember Me Emily vintage tags, which adhere to the backside of the tag using Glue Arts Perma Tac.I found these long floral pins at a craft store a while back and have found many uses over the months. Here I used a few glass beads, Maya Road stamped hearts and an earring back to keep it all together. Added Glue Arts U-Cut It Foam to the back of the two hearts to keep it in place on the pocket and provides enough space between the beads and paper pieces.The top of the tag has been embellished also with Papertrey Ink ticket die, stamps and scallop border die. My house is quiet at the moment and only have a few hours to clean before my little men run back through those doors and ready to play. Working on something I just learned yesterday and can't wait to share it here tomorrow!

Glue Arts + Simple Stories (here)

Kind of liking the new approach to life at the moment. Slowing down, enjoy spending time with my three men, cooking more meals, and allowing my artistic moments to come along at their own pace. I think I can get used to this calm. As my little men have grown and our family head count will remain at four, there are times that I feel kind of lost...as if I need a job description revision. The past month has been a challenge, but it sure has made my heart happy. Here's to a year of the unknown, but many cherished moments.

Can't tell what this year will bring, what obstacles will challenge us, who may come in or out of our lives, but I can say for sure that my family will come first and that makes my heart happy.So as we count down the final hours of 2011 and welcome 2012...wishing everyone a happy heart and hope you find the things this year that make you smile most!Just created this for fun today. Little fabric treat bags with iron on canvas hearts, each stuffed with yummy fudge mint cookies. Vintage inspired tags layered with burlap, felt, Maya Road flowers, and Epiphany Craft circle punches and bubble caps. Created beaded stick pins and vintage tags to complete the look. Perfect little treat for the ones you love...especially for Valentine's Day!

After two days of building Legos, Knex and everything else under the sun we have made it...just keeping our fingers crossed that they aren't broken within the next few days. Hoping your holiday weekend was filled with many memorable moments. Now that the dust has settled the cleaning must begin. Every holiday decoration has made its way to the kitchen counters and into the boxes until next year. Between clearing the decor and dusting...my "just because" crafting is taking place on the dining room table...Received a gift card to one of my favorite craft stores over the weekend and quickly made my way to it yesterday...and happy I did. Sales, sales everywhere and my basket was filled in less than 15 minutes. Found these amazing adhesive fabric flowers from K&Company, mini paper clips, die cuts and much more. Paired the mini paper clips from Tim Holtz up with Epiphany Crafts heart punch. Just the right size...Created a few tags, used a little vintage fabric from Frost it Pink and rediscovered my stapler...
Just started my first full sheet for my Project Life binder and had so much fun. Will have to share a little once I get in the swing of things. My final project today is a quick and easy card set created for Gel-A-Tins today...Finally...the winner of the album...LISA! Send me an email when you get a moment and I will send this off to you. An almost Merry Christmas to you all! I know...this isn't a holiday project; however, my Christmas present has already come as I am now apart of the Momenta Design Team! Spending a little time last night creating a project to celebrate the occasion and wanted to pop in and share before we headed out to spend the day with our family.These actually started out as tags and turned into cards at the last minute. Love the blue paper as the background to bring out the creams and pinks in the tags.Used sentiment stickers, sticker borders and...in the first photo...a sticker badge (which I love so much). Added a few stamped and glittered butterflies using My Mind's Eye...which may now be considered a vintage stamp in the scrapbooking world since I purchased it so long ago. Still love this little lady and she has come in handy more than most.

Edited to add: I found this bell at the Dollar Tree in a package of six. Who knew.

The countdown chain is so tiny today. My little men are counting down and beginning to draw out their plan of attack. There has been some gift shaking, fierce cookie eating and little sleep.Created this mini album for Glue Arts, which is posted today, and October Afternoon. Love, love, love this collection and couldn't seem to use enough of it...as you may be able to tell.Used everything from the buttons to the trims...paper to the stickers...which made for a wonderful scrapping day.So in the spirit of the season I would love to send this to one of you. The last decorating before Christmas...the stockings have been hung. The kids are pacing the floors waiting for the next four days to pass by as quickly as possible. Going to bed late, waking up early, eating stacks of freshly baked cookies and many moments of sugar highs and lows. The last Christmas cards are headed out to the post office today. It is almost here and I couldn't be more excited to see my little men Christmas morning after Santa visits. Love this year as they are so into making each moment memorable and truly getting into the spirit of the season. This card was created for Gel-A-Tins today. one little man's broken heart.

one stressed hubby...

All adds up and quickly too. Family visiting from out of town for the next week and preparing the best I can. My oldest is home with a sneaky cold as I had to break the news to my littlest man that I couldn't volunteer at his school for craft day today. Reminded him that his Granna will be here shortly with lots of kisses, hugs and probably a little something special just for him tucked away in her luggage. Guess what...he moved on and perked up. After cleaning yesterday I began to pull out some papers and items to create a mini album. This doesn't happen often as it can overwhelm me...all of those blank pages staring back at me saying "dress me up", but I was excited. However, after a night of watching my oldest break a board in karate (boy was he scared) and playing a few rounds of what I now know of Angry Birds, the supplies are still sitting in the same place on the table. Kind of nice to just let life happen.I am still working on the next giveaway and will have a winner of the owl ornament by tomorrow. This card was another one created for the teacher gift. Love this mix of trims here, the little bit of frayed fabric peeking out behind the paper and the cute wire flower from Maya Road that I got here.

Spent the evening, into the wee hours of the morning, wide awake. My mind on overdrive and me trying to tell it to slow down.

Remember to...

clean the house.
make sure karate uniform is clean.
send out last minute gifts.
holiday party items.
groceries.
dinner.
NO SUGAR tomorrow for anyone...treats on lock down. (not working, already had two mini cookies...so should they count?)
plan out how to start my Project Life scrapbook. (ok, not necessary but still fun)
plan meals for when family visits.
RUN at some point...not just away from cleaning the bathrooms.
take the time to wear anything but sweats this week.
decide if this is the year that my hubby and I finally exchange gifts. (we find it strange, which is kind of strange I guess)

I am sure there were more topics going through my head. Had about two glasses of milk, read, watched television and at some point laid down with my eyes forced shut for an hour...I know since I kept peeking at the clock. Finally, 3:15 am rolled around and it was time to get serious. Kept thinking I would hear my oldest thumping down the stairs before 7 am...which did happen.

Two weeks ago I was determined to take at least two months off of my Etsy shop. Time to reflect, actually take a few photos of family time and not just my projects, get serious about this workout thing, cook more than one meal in a week and the list goes on (my life usually doesn't consist of lists...really not that organized). Think it must have all hit me at once last night...oh no, what am I going to do with this time. After creating the teacher gifts I realized I was done, pretty much anyway. It all hit me at once and that is when I put on a movie, pulled up to a box of cookies and ducked away a few times to do some impulsive online shopping. Thank goodness I survived last night :)

Now onto the craftiness that is my blog... This card was created for Gel-A-Tins today, a little up-do from what is posted on the blog. Just playing around with my new button/badge maker and having a good ol' time. Very simple card but with "bold" embellishments. Oh what a day of cookie making...my back and feet are still aching, but the show must go on. Made about five different types of cookies/candy and the kids joined in at the very end of frost all of the sugar cookies...sure they ate a few along the way. We are probably all still on a little bit of a sugar high. Time to shake it off and get to work as the week will go by quickly...I am just sure of that. Getting ready for my little men to have a holiday celebration at school, teacher gifts, out of town guests, karate belt testing, football game and party...I am sure I am missing something. So having said that...I am attempting to create card sets for the teachers. Three sets in all and think I can do it. Here to share one of those cards today, although each set will include three cards and fancy packaging...of course...
Love this peach vintage lace my mother sent me awhile back. I have a bunch and need to use it more often. Probably used every type of material in this from paper and felt to ribbon and burlap. Oh what a happy winter it has been so far...although in Florida you would never know it as it is still warm. I am on the verge of wearing something other than flip flops...my year round shoe preference...and trading them in for my sneakers. Not quite there yet. As we count down to Christmas, stock the tree with gifts and begin our baking...cookie day tomorrow in my house...I am getting in the spirit of giving and would love to find "him" a new home. Created this ornament/tag the other day after receiving a couple of Lawn Fawn stamp sets and sorting through my little containers. This container comes from Maya Road...think it may have contained buttons at one time. Liked the snowglobe with Flower Soft as the snow so carried it on into this project. A little of this and that and he is sittin' comfortably in a little winter tree.

an empty room...

My parents have departed and it will be several months before we see them again. Felt as if our time spent together was short this time, but look forward to planning our visit for next year. Just thankful that we are able to see each other as often as we do being so far apart. I know my little men enjoy the visits.Now that the house is quiet, a few more orders to complete for the year and as I mentioned new supplies to be used...you can probably guess how I might be spending the next few days before our next visitors arrive. My hubby, making if very clear today that it is time to clean up and prepare...kind of heard, wait until the day before and relax until then? I think I like my interpretation. Spending Sunday making a bunch of Christmas cookies with our closest friends and we will see if we get past the first batch (kind of broke my mixer last year and have yet to replace it...all arm muscle here). I have received mixed tins of homemade cookies from our friends and families in the past and would love to give this year. So I am going to keep crafting, keep sharing and come back tomorrow for a little giveaway. I have "him" already to send to a good home...Will share the rest of this tomorrow, but until then...hope you are enjoying your Friday. Not to scare you, but only two more weeks until the big day. I am sure we are all rushing around watching our lists grow and shrink with each passing day.

For everyone who celebrates a birthday this month...including my sister who is on the other side of the country. She always seems to have so much fun and hope one day I will be around to join in. Can't believe she is sharing the thirties with me now. At least she is taking it well. Spent the last couple of weeks with my parents, winding down my Etsy shop for a while and picking up a few new crafting items just for me. Thinking it is time to really make a choice to love the world of art for me a little more. Never do I create a card for my family or friends. Create a handmade gift for someone special. Sit and scrap a few pictures of my growing boys. So as we celebrate December birthdays, the holiday season and the end of 2011...it is time to take a few moments to create away for the ones I love.

my favorite day...

What is my favorite day this month...Christmas Eve, definitely. Growing up my sister and I couldn't wait until the sun would set, quickly ate dinner and sat next to the tree to open just one gift. It was just enough to get us from night to morning when the big man arrived. Woke up around three in the morning...my sister was on top of this...and into my parents bedroom to share the news after we had ripped through all of the presents. No matter what we found in those packages it was all about the excitement. Now as a parent it is so fun to now have experienced the other side of this day. Love seeing the excitement of my little men and sharing our traditions with them as the years pass by. Just need to remember each year to show them how important it is to give even if you don't receive. This card set was created using Epiphany Crafts and Crate Paper...a perfect match! Changing things up a bit here and hope you like it. After living in our home for five years now I can't seem to rearrange things anymore, I am takin' it to the blog. Have a few free moments today and tomorrow and needed a little time to myself hiding out in my craft room...not crafting. Time is ticking by so quickly this month and think it is probably best that I attach a calendar to myself to keep me calm. We are counting down the days until the kids are on break, but cramming in those last minute assignments, reading, programs and sports activities in between family visits. But...at the end of each day the lists are hidden, the schedules are scrapped and enjoying each moment I have with my family. Last night we finally whipped together our gingerbread tree, a annual holiday tradition here, and finally snapped a few photos of my boys laughing, decorating and eating a few pieces along the way...leaving a trail of green icing throughout the house. Before I put on my running shoes and head out to the gym (I am trying to enjoy this, but not there yet)...a card created yesterday just because...Andrea

There is something about this month that is keeping my tummy tied in knots. From the list of to-dos for the holiday season to the company and lists of places to see...I can't seem to catch my breath. My escape...getting a few cuddles from my little men and those much loved artistic moments. But today...they are at school and I am finding myself staring off into space and just feeling a little dizzy. Put on my running shoes for the second day now, feeling a little sore from yesterday though, in hopes that this may take my mind off of it all. Over the past few years I have juggled with the waves of uncertainty and just being plain overwhelmed. Luckily it only takes a glance over at my hubby, watching my little men being silly or just sitting back and taking a deep breath to get my head back in the "game". So as I wrap up my Etsy shop for a few days, try to focus on one thing at a time...little by little it will all come together and I will get through this...I hope :) So before I take a few down days, just a few projects... The ornament below can be found here for Glue Arts today. We just put out our blue reindeer the day before and had to include this little guy in my ornament photo. About two years ago my mother-in-law sent one per week to us via the postal service. Loved this idea and it is a joy putting them out each year.This card is posted on Gel-A-Tins blog here. Found these wooden snowflakes at the craft store the other day and just called out for some paint and glitter...so I did. Think it jazzes up this card...

Home today, a change from previous years...but, enjoying the quiet down time. Our decorations are up, the tree is all sparkly and shining bright and just enjoyed a little plate of leftovers from our feast yesterday. Loving today and so thankful for two more days of hangin' at home with my little men. Celebrating Pink Persimmon's new stamp collection release this past week! Absolutely adore the vintage images. This card features society lady and perfumery. Also used sentiments from ric rac stamp set. I have included two additional projects created last month using Pink Persimmon stamps...Wishing you a very wonderful holiday weekend and yummy Thanksgiving! My hubby is attempting to cut our menu in half since there is only a few of us that will eat it, but I say you've gotta have your staples. Better get back to preparing my shopping list and have a lot of crafting in the works to list on Friday! Can't wait.

Only two more days to prepare for turkey day. I am attempting a pie this year...from the crust up. Usually I purchase a pie crust, but after watch Martha Stewart...I think I can do this. Purchased a pie dish and pastry cutter this year at some point intending to make this happen, but we will really see if I am fully committing tomorrow evening when I go for it. I have a few projects to share today and a shop update. First, my Etsy shop will be full by on Friday morning. No Black Friday shopping here this year. Find that all the waiting is a little too difficult for me...so I am staying in an getting things ready for visitors, crafting and decorating. But, before we get to that...Today, over on the Gel-A-Tins blog, my project (pictured above) is posted. Using Coffee Break and Love Knots stamp sets to create this pocket of mini cards.
I have seen button flowers on many occasions on Etsy and wanted to create my own version...of course using felt and flowers in some manner. Used a wooden spool, wire and layers of buttons, felt, paper and Epiphany Craft products to create these. Created this card last week an fell in love with the color combination. Amazing what you can do with scallop dies.Edited to add: Entered into today's blog hop with Papertrey Ink! Love the few moments I am able to play with clay, but when my little men find me rolling away in the kitchen the Mario Bros. figure requests begin. I have been making this little snow man for two years now, usually as an ornament. As the Christmas season approaches I pick up a few new packages of polymer clay and begin to create my little snowman. This year I happened to pick up an empty snow globe as well and think the two items were meant to come together. This is not filled with water, but Flower Soft, perfect for in making this a pretty mess free project. Topped it off with a little silk ribbon, felt holly leaves and felt/fabric tag.

Hope you enjoy your weekend. Mine will begin in just a few minutes when the kids coming running out those school doors ready for a week off.

Ahhh....oh boy, what a day. My little men are home today feeling a little under the weather...one with a temperature and one with a sore throat. You would never guess it though as they are playing as usual. I am asking them to sit quietly for two minutes and my youngest bug just cannot do it. Well, while they are attempting to keep still I wanted to pop in to share my Paper Fashions Etc. project for this week. I love the garden and friendship sentiment collections they have created. So beautiful and perfect for any occasion.First I created a card featuring a sentiment from the friendship collection and garden bingo card. Added felt accents, a little lace and always some soft satin ribbon. I then embellished a round tin using fabric, paper, lace, felt and vintage buttons. Used the bingo card, teeny tiny, and stitched on a garden sentiment to create a flag tag for the top. Added a little more felt and ribbon to the top.Finally, created these felt hair clips to place inside...

It's already Wednesday, Thanksgiving is next week, black Friday is kicking off soon and the kiddies are out of school for an entire week...oh boy. So excited to spend a few days with my little men, but they seem to be catching the sick bug which may alter our plans. So I am working fast trying to complete a few projects and clean my craft room before they take over. The list of needs before family arrives continues to grow, but working our way through it one item at a time. Before the weekend arrives though I am having a bunch of crafting fun here and a few projects to share today. First off...

a fairy tale ending, or is it...

Oh how I love the moments when an idea comes, I sit down and make something as I have imagined and we all live happily ever after. It's kind of like a fairy tale ending most days, with the exception of yesterday and today. My little men are in bed at the moment...ok, they are chattering away still but we can imagine they are fast asleep by now. I am in my craft room (slash) computer room (slash) the messiest room in the house. The wheels they are a turnin' and I am not moving a muscle. I want to create, but each attempt is just a little off. Something is just not calling out to me as it usually does. Too much going on up there...or nothing at all...either way not so helpful. Anyway, thought I would share one project that turned out as imagined a couple of weeks back using Pink Persimmon stamps...
Time to separate my thoughts, make a list...maybe too organized for me, or maybe just take a little break for a day or two and play catch up. Oh that sounds difficult, especially when my men are away all day and leave me home with my beautiful papers and crafting tools. Well, printed out a few templates to create some holiday gift boxes and maybe sitting down, watching a movie and cutting some paper may do me some good.

While crafting these days I enjoy pulling out stamps which I feature on all my projects for that day. Today was no exception as I rediscovered a lace border stamp set from My Mind's Eye...I usually pick two sets...one sentiment set and one frame or border set. It is a fun way to challenge yourself, bring back to life stamps that may have been tucked away too long and while you have them out and inked why not create a few projects all at once.
Something about my crafting today...bright, bold and pretty in pink. Here is a picture of some new felt flowers I created for my shop today as well...I recently began watching a new creative challenge show...Project Accessory (if anyone is a fan of these shows)...need something to do when I am crafting in the evening. Never being an accessory wearer myself I find it difficult to relate; however, another amazing display of talent. I often can't believe the critic they receive after getting such a short time to create and in the environment they are in. Let's bring it to our creative world...it may be like saying you are given ten minutes to create a card using toothpicks, real grass and color red...now go. Can't imagine. Sometimes it takes me an hour to create one card. Try to find the right color, embellishments and stamps. Oh boy...looks exhausting, but I guess that is why it makes for great television. At the end of it all the winner probably walks away knowing they could handle any challenge. Ok, enough reality television talk. Have a colorful day...weekend...and challenge yourself with something creative today!

Something sweet is in the air today and here to share it with you...well, first things first...coffee! Ok...yesterday I mentioned the Christmas season is approaching way too quickly, and I am sticking to that...except for the fact that I love this peppermint image from Paper Fashions Etc. I guess it boils down to the fact that I am really not prepared to commit to gift buying and trying to figure out what activities to do with our families when they take their 3,000 mile flight to visit us. This time of year has us on pins and needles for the past several years, and this year is no exception. Don't feel like I can sit back and enjoy until January 1st rolls around. But...somehow it all comes together, we survive and come out ok on the other end. So although I am trying my hardest to slow down time...I am still embracing the holiday crafting I can't seem to hold back from.
What I truly love about digital images is that you can make them into what you imagine. When looking at this peppermint I imagined this gift box...maybe slightly different, but as you go along you find what works and what doesn't and it's like magic...to me at least. While I was creating this last night I was watching one of my new favorite shows, Work of Art. I am a fan of all things creative and this show amazes me. Yes...some of the art work is a little different, but to see the process of creativity and how each person pours their heart into their art work is amazing. I feel fortunate that although I never created when I was growing up that I eventually found my outlet, something that helped express me. It is fairly common that I go to bed each night with a vision of something in my head...which is why I took a notebook from my kids playroom to keep near just in case. I know I don't have original ideas...so many talented people in this wonderful world, but I love allowing my mind to wander and come up with something I have never done. Here's to loving the art you create!

Is this all happening too quickly...maybe it is just me? We have begun making our list and the ideas are coming in. It is fall...even here in Florida today. Crisp leaves are scattered about...acorns, which are a favorite collectible for my little men, are left alone on our little trees outside...and now with the fall candle burning in our kitchen...I want to continue to live in the moment of this season before winter is upon us. I don't think I stop and enjoy this season as often as I should. Seems like we jump so quickly from Halloween to Christmas. Well, today I take a moment to share with you a fall card that celebrates all things fall!
As I have shown before, Paper Fashions Etc. has an amazing fall collection fall is in the air. Here I used two leaves which were cut out and sewn onto a wreath shaped cardstock circle I quickly die cut. Of course had to add a little glitter and scrunch it up a bit. Found this wrinkle ribbon, button and resin flower among my craft supplies that seem to fit perfectly. So sit back today, enjoy the season and let it inspire your crafting.

Happy Halloween! We are just about ready to get all dressed up and head on out around the neighborhood. Just here to share two projects completed last week.

Digging deep into my scrap bin last night to find bits and pieces of red and green paper to create this Paper Fashions Etc. project...For the card and decoration I used sweet warm ups collection and the sweet warm ups sentiments collection. Love the little filled jars and peppermint candy. So many ways to incorporate them into your holiday creations.Created the hanging decoration by layering paper, chipboard, Glue Arts UCut-It Foam. Added a lot of glitter and ribbon to finish the look.

Option 1...a little glitter, lace and a lot of shabby chicness...Option 2...bright, glittery and fun...You may have remembered a while back I created a card for Really Reasonable Ribbon where I used layers of lace and ribbon to create the background for my card. I decided to revisit this layout, but use two different sets of color and themes. I think I often feel as if I need to create something new all of the time. Find it fun and challenging to take older projects that I have done and change them to make the idea feel new again. There is always a collection of paper, stamps and ribbon to keep you on your crafting toes. Off to recreate a fall tag I created about a month ago in two different ways now. Enjoying the splashes of boy themed/colored projects lately. About time with a house full of boys...right?

Not spending much time in my kitchen lately. Between house projects, bike rides and celebrating birthdays...our counters have become more of a resting place for papers than food. However, the other night I pulled out my polymer clay and got to work making these candy canes. They are so fun and simple...perfect for holiday scrapping this year. Made a few more for future projects.
Attached them to the card using Glue Arts U-Cut It Foam and a little craft glue. Hand cut the felt for the holly leaves and added the ribbon with a button to finish off the embellishment. Found a few stamps that haven't been used since last year...or maybe even the year before to complete the piece. Polymer clay is easy to work with and so much fun. Miss Art's Papercrafting School just released a course on this I believe as well too. Well, the time has come to put my little men to bed. A short school week and so excited that I don't have to leave the house at all this week either. Sometimes that running around can drive me a little batty.

Thankful for so many things and the list keeps on growing. After a day of bumps, oops's and close calls...my little men were tucked safely and quietly into bed and woke up this morning with smiles. It is a habit of mine to still sneak into their rooms while they are asleep...before I head off to bed myself...and give them each a little kiss on the cheek. I wonder if I will still do this five, ten years from now...I can only hope. So as the days go by, Thanksgiving is nearing and the season of giving thanks and spending time with our friends and family is right around the corner...I turn to my love of crafting to show how thankful I truly am for everything.
Created this pocket using two scallop circles, stitched together on three sides. Used a Paper Fashions Etc. vintage recipe cards to create the background on the green and blue circles, which have been die cut and mounted on the front of the pocket. Also used the fall is in the air leaf.
Perfect little set to give to those you love this season! Wishing you a wonderful weekend...only one week left until Halloween. I will be back tomorrow to share my mother's creations with you. Also, I am having a weekend sale in my shop of felt flowers and tags.

Oh boy...exhausted and it is only Thursday, but tonight when my little men are asleep I will be up crafting to my hearts content. Oh the joy of fabric! I have been playing with layers of fabric and lace the past two days and really love seeing how everything comes together. There are those that don't make the cut, and realize that is time lost...but, when all is said and done the ones that make the cut bring a smile to my face.
Created a brooch using this fabric flower embellished with vintage lace, vintage glass button and a glass pearl bead. Created a perfect embellishment for this card, which can be removed once given. This next card was created with two challenges in mind. First, this week on the Create blog you will find the challenge of using chevrons. Here I used a Martha Stewart punch and strips of scrap paper to create this look. The second is for the Practical Scrappers card contest and the next round if I am so lucky to continue...
Finally, a little birthday card using more bright colors...and I think I used them all here...

It is amazing that no matter what age, friendships are always changing. As I watch my little men play with the new kids on our street, anticipate seeing our closest friends on the weekend and meeting up with classmates...it makes me wonder who will come, go and stay in their life as each year and event passes. I only hope I can teach them to always be open to making new friends, realize that we meet one another for a reason and nurture those relationships that bring them joy.
This project was created for Paper Fashions Etc. using their friendship sentiment collection. With a little fabric, felt, paper and chipboard came this creation. Do you ever make shaped cards? Wanted to work with a shape that could be used for both a girl and boy themed card and this is what I came up with. Used my Doodlecharms Cricut Expression cartridge to create the stars. Attached them to a folded piece of cardstock, following the stitching, and trimmed. Such a fun challenge for myself and one I hope I can keep doing as this week goes on. Even though I have a house full of boys, I often fail to create anything in boy colors. Need to change that and celebrate the fact that my world is full of blue and greens for a reason. Gotta love my three men! Tomorrow is a big day...I will have two posts here. Really Reasonable Ribbon will be doing a blog hop which is full of holiday fun. My Paper Fashions Etc. project will be up in the afternoon. Also, head on over to Whimsie Doodles tomorrow for a step by step guide to using WD patterns. Working our way closer to Halloween and costumes still have to be made for my little men. We are still narrowing down our choices...which I should probably stop asking so that they don't change their mind again. As I squeeze in a few more decorations, greeting cards and tags...here is a project I completed using Whimsie Doodles pattern, Creations by AR hanging basket template and a few bits and pieces of festive embellishments.I will be posting a few more items for Halloween this week only and then on to the holidays that follow. Completely in love with these fall colors this year. So cozy and warm just looking at them. Oh my...what a weekend of raining buckets! It has almost passed and may take a few days to dry out, but ready to see a little sun again. Thank goodness for great friends and a night away! What a busy week ahead. It's getting closer and do you have your treat baskets ready? Today, over on the Glue Arts blog, you can see how I used Core'dinations, Glue Arts and a template from Creations by AR to create this special treat basket. For a complete list of instructions, supplies and full step by step photos head on over. Here are just a few more cards that will be poppin' up in my shop today...Using a little of the frayed fabric on each of these cards, which is shown in the Fabric Frills class over at Miss Art's Papercrafting School. Tomorrow I am off to the farm...with a bunch of kindergartners (nine classes in all x eighteen kids each!!!). Think I have visited this farm about ten times in the last three years, which is plenty...however, I am happy to spend the day with my littlest man. Will be posting more this week in my shop as I transition from Halloween to Fall and Winter. So many new ideas swimming around in my head so can't wait to share! Spent a morning last week walking around Home Goods with my dear friend who loves that store just as much, if not more, than I do...if that is possible. Picked up a new Halloween decoration and fell in love with their "vintage like" items. Came across a set of four canning jars and the wheels began turning. So, came home and began working on this little set. I used the wreath, same as on this card. Really wanted to use fabric to create a pumpkin on top and let me tell you...it is super easy. I have seen this technique used to create pincushions, but made mine itty bitty. You could also create one a bit larger for that purpose on the top and fill the jar with sewing supplies as a gift.Since my Fabric Frills was just released over at Miss Art's Papercrafting School, I wanted to feature a little of that fabric technique here as well and just show how easy it is to incorporate fabric in your everyday projects, regardless of your sewing level. Added a little leather string and cream lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon to wrap around the lid.
Finally, filled the jar with vellum envelopes and stamped tags. These would be great for the coming holiday and giving out to the ones we love. Could also add a little photo, sentiment or treat in each one.

This time of year can be fun for some, but quite spooky for others. My seven year old tends to run screaming from store that have too much Halloween. It is amazing the type of detail, size and realism in some of these "decorations". We know we will not be bringing home a seven foot tall skeleton any time soon. So we have our own fun with it. Glitter and bright fun colors are the way we roll and I am perfectly fine with that. It is the "cute" that I love the most. So on to creating our vision of Halloween and bringing you a little cute and vintage to this Saturday. In the card set above I created a simple consistent layout with each, created more chipboard buttons with a little added glitter, and tiny safety pins I have had for ever. Used a little Prairie Bird Boutique ribbon on each to really add color.In this card, I wanted to use an owl stamp, but just a little different...and hope that other's may see my vision as my hubby said it looked like a sack on a tree limb. I wanted to create a little vampire owl who was gazing at the moon. Hit or miss...I think it was exactly what I had swimming around in my mind.

So this has been an exciting week here. It is official that I am on the oh so talented Epipnany Crafts DT...yeah! Love their products...and use the punches daily. I am now a Gel-A-Tina with some amazing designers. Last, but not least...my Fabric Frills class is out today. Here is a project you are able to create in one of the classes...If you are a new to creating fabric and felt pieces or looking for some new ways to use them...this class is for you! Hope you have a fun filled weekend. Time to garage sale and the weather couldn't be more perfect out today. The humid has played a vanishing act and the sun is shining.

Oh my a day late, but at last I am here. As the house seems to crumble around me from laundry to papers from school I am beginning to wonder what happened to my free time this week to clean. I guess some weeks are better than others. Before I continue to ignore the mess and head out for a morning with my friend...wanted to pop in to share my Paper Fashions Etc. card with you as fall is in the air...Love the collection of leaves to choose from in this set. Thinking of creating a fall leave chain using this digis later this month. Found the wreath in a local craft store in the doll house section of all places...which everything is so tiny and cute. Works perfectly for any holiday by just adding your seasonal embellishment. Ok...I am off. So much more to share, but late as it is. See you back here tomorrow!

My little men are ready...let's find the boxes, head to the store and start to decorate. We are going full Halloween here and ready to put up those decorations...a little new and old. Only a few more minutes and then we are off to the store to pick up a few more decorations to add to our small, but fun collection this year. My littlest pointed out that we do not have any green men...which I am sure he is referring to Frankenstein. So...we are on the hunt. My hubby does not like the whole decorating "thing"...but as our boys get older and really start to enjoy this time of year...why not? So in the spirit of today...Created my own large buttons from chipboard, circle die cut and my pretty papers in the scrap bin. I recently purchased yet another beautiful collection of vintage buttons from Remember Me Emily over on Etsy and came across these amazing vintage tags she had. You tear them, which leaves a great edge on each side and stamp away. Punch a little hole to secure it to the ribbon with a stick pin.

It doesn't take too much to make something shabby, chic and sweet...especially when it is a mini.Happy Monday everyone and hope that your week is starting out well. Home today tending to my little man who has been fighting a bug...again. After a weekend of insisting he could ride the Haunted Mansion at Disney (which has lead to nightmares), karate camp and now fighting off this little bug...he needs his mommy and am happy to be the designated cuddler. Created this mini card for the Make It Monday's Papertrey Ink Challeng e. Love using chipboard and dies...and as I was sitting down to make this the doorbell rang and my new Papertrey Ink package arrived...yeah! He must have known, right? Thank you everyone for your birthday wishes. I had a wonderful day and now back to reality... slightly older...and I am sure much wiser than the previous day :) As I wait for laundry to finish I wanted to pop in to share a couple of projects that I have not shared here yet. This first one is using Pink Persimmon stamps, a empty glass spice bottle, fabric and paper. I realized, as I was using my spices one day, that this glass bottle just could not be tossed. After washing the inside and soaking the outside overnight to remove the labels, the bottle was ready to be dressed up. Used lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon to add the gathered flower with a stick pin and diamond satin ribbon around the exterior of the bottle. Also, used my Glue Arts 3D Foam to the paper embellishments to really give dimension to the bottle.The fabric piece inside is just two strips of fabric, sewn together and stamped. Also added a few hand stitched details along the way. Letter stamps are perfect for fabric projects. So many varieties in style and size. Secondly, as you can see I am in the Halloween spirit and with a new pack of seasonal paper and a plain wooden house just waiting to be used...I created this.
October is almost upon us and Halloween is drawing near. I will have two more weeks of listing Halloween items in my shop if you were interested. Looking to make a few more mini card and treat sets next week. Have a wonderful weekend and can't wait to share more soon!

After two years of long hair, I woke up one day and had nine inches cut off. Now, trying to adjust, I have turned to hair accessories to keep me from having a total breakdown. As I strolled down the hair accessories aisle I picked one of everything...headbands, clips, hair ties and then a very large package of bobby pins...really you need a hundred at a time? Seeing how creative some get with these little things...I went to work on my own creation. After adding these felt flowers to each bobby pin, and always searching for new ways to embellish a card, thought they fit perfectly with Paper Fashions Etc. digital images. This can comes from the perfect blend collection, just trimming off the lid. Also...used leaves from the fall is in the air collection, friends sentiment, and garden bingo cards "bloom". The recipient of this card can then use the bobby pins or just keep them on the card as is.

Alice in Wonderland...one of my favorite movies and stories...one that I make my little men watch with me since it isn't too girly, right? Today, over on the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog, I posted this project using so many beautiful ribbons and loving the Halloween colors...as you may have noticed. Can't wait for the cooler weather and as I often mention, this humidity can make it's seasonal exit as well. I have my new Yankee Candle (pumpkin buttercream) burning from morning til night, my decorations have been making their way to their usual places around the house and of course the holiday crafting is in full swing, YEAH!This are just a few more mini cards and tags that I had up in my shop yesterday. Going to be making a few more...finding more black, cream and orange to play with. Also, to announce the winner of the felt ghost goody bag...Cheryl Nelson! I often don't like using candy or food in preparing any project for a photo...the reason...I find that they don't last long in our house. That's right...we ate them all! But the best part remains, the little treat pockets that I created to hold these sweet treats. sweet vintage...

When you bring together a little vintage, fabric and something sweet you get a perfect gift set. As my little men were looking through my craft room over the weekend I came across these vintage towels which were ready to be embellished... I love strawberries. They don't require the use of a die cut or stamp and can quickly be hand cut to your liking. For this towel I used two layers of pink fabric, fused together using interfacing, and two layers of green fabric for the stem and leaves (also fused together). Then, using stitching to add detail, added the pieces of the towel. I had to add a little lace to give it even a more vintage feel to the bottom. Of course it couldn't stop there...
Created a matching tag, gift box and card to create a perfect set ready for that special someone. The ribbon (Really Reasonable Ribbon) on the gift box is big, beautiful and such a lovely pure white that matches so well with the vintage buttons used throughout from Remember Me Emily. Hand cut the strawberry on the tag to match the towel using scrap pieces of paper. For the card, I have these large chipboard letters (which have been around for years) that seem to be at my side and ready to be used. Used the "t" to begin the word "thanks".

Hope your Monday starts off just as sweet. Getting the coffee going, quickly clean the house and on to make my projects for the week...

pretty in pink...

After a day in a house full of boys this is what is needed...pink, floral and fun coming together in one card. I discovered this dress form, from The Girl's Paperie, in the wrong place in my craft room and after holding on to it for so long I thought...why not. As my boys were into my stash of crafts as well we came across this pink fringe trim and pink lace...and there you have it. Added a flower embellishment from Pebbles, stick pin from Maya Road, vintage button from Remember Me Emily, stamp and label from Papertrey Ink and ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. Of course my Glue Arts UCut-It Foam which adheres to any surface so well and allowed me to mount the dress form onto my felt.

I am late for my date with my boys today...should have left before breakfast to beat the heat, oh well, they seem to keep my mind on the fun parts not that fact that we are all melting away under the hot humid sun. Have a beautiful Sunday!

The day has come...finally...when I get to sit back and settle into my crafting chair and just enjoy. Between fall cleaning and school projects my week was gone in an instant. Hope you are all enjoying your weekend. As this next week quickly approaches I am trying to face the reality that I am adding another year to my age. Not really that hard, but just a reminder of how quickly time passes by. Thankfully I can say that I have enjoyed this year and look forward to what lies ahead. Spending more time with my little men has been made each day special. So as we prepare for Halloween with paper spiders scaling our walls...just a special post for my favorite little pumpkins...

Using lace trim and diamond satin ribbon to accent this pincushion. Perfect and easy little gift idea for the upcoming holidays! Just sew together two squares of fabric, thread through middle to all four sides and add felt and lace accents to the middle of the top. Finally, add satin ribbon to two sides, using a little craft glue to secure in place under the lace portion of the flower. So are you ready to hop some more? Head on over to Misty's blog!

Halloween decorating is beginning early for us here as my littlest man is helping me cut out spiders to stick to the wall. With the start of school and his interest in art our family craft days are coming back in style here. Loving it...although he is a little bit more demanding and keeping an eye out that I am not taking breaks...shhh, I hope he doesn't find out that I am in here for a moment. This card above was made for Really Reasonable Ribbon today. Loving this assortment this month to get your projects started for Halloween and fall. As you may have noticed I am ready! Well, can't linger too long as he is adding glitter to his project at the moment. It seems to explode in the dinning area when he gets his hands on it. Will be having a giveaway on Monday and bringing you a few new projects using felt and material next week.

If you haven't been visiting Glue Arts this week...head on over to see an amazing collection of projects inspired by a photo spotted on Pinterest. Amazing photos there and here is just a snippet of what my project is today...For a complete list of supplies, directions and a full photo of my project head on over to Glue Arts. I have been in love with these colors for the past year. Finally I was able to put them together and give a little pop of color to our home.

It is finally Friday and time to get ready for a house full of guests this evening, a packed Saturday of karate and family outing then probably locked inside on Sunday by my hubby as he takes in some much needed football...the season I dislike the most (sorry, but it is true). I usually end up watching a little, asking too many questions and try to follow along. So...as I weigh my options for dinner tonight between having a dirty kitchen and make it or order in (my preferred choice I think)...I am off to pack orders, make a few more goodies to share this weekend (with a fall giveaway for Monday) and wonder how overnight our house became messy. Happy Thursday...today is Paper Fashions Etc. day here and so excited to be back working with the kitchen clatter collection and vintage recipe cards. This idea came to me early this morning in the hustle and bustle of our morning school routine. If you look closely at the background of the card I printed a grid type pattern using the recipe cards...I then stitched between them with a sewing machine and embellished the rest of the card with this yummy cupcake from the cherry delight collection. I wanted to make the focus of the card the frosted portion of the cupcake to go with the sentiment...Of course I had to top it off with vintage buttons, a little heart and some beautiful white satin ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon (1"). Now if I could only make my baked cupcakes look that good. Little hands are usually to quick around here to actually put the frosting on.

When October comes around this year I will be ready...Papertrey Ink stamps in hand, treat bags ready from Creations by AR and all of the creepy crawly things that make this time of year so much fun. This creations above was made for Make it Mondays challenge over on the Papertrey Ink blog...not so traditional in the colors for Halloween, but it is exactly what I had in mind. Another little treat using Creations by AR pumpkin Jack-O-Box template...minus the pumpkin...Hope this brings a little fall inspiration your way...One more item before I go. This month Whimsie Doodle has come out with a new line of patterns for all things felt and fabric. Fall is almost upon us...ok, maybe here in the south the weather needs to cool just a bit more and I could do without the humidity. But why not get a jump start on the fall crafting. This coming Halloween and Christmas is going to be a busy, but fun time for me as I am determined to create something festive each day...a little for myself along the way too. To start just a little "autumn wishes" card for this week's challenge over at the CREATE blog...Really loving Glue Arts 3D Foam...making each element really stand out. Also, gotta love Papertrey Ink's stamps sets...I am in love with them all! As I mentioned yesterday, Remember Me Emily on Etsy has the most amazing vintage buttons. This one has such amazing detail in such a small little button. Each bag has such a variety...as I have purchase four so far and can't seem to stop myself. They also come in adorable tins that are being set aside for Christmas ornaments. Well, the laundry is spinning, my little men are struggling to sit down for homework and soon it will be time to head off to after school practices...See you back here tomorrow with a special Halloween treat!

Having a great day home resting with my oldest today and between games of UNO and Monopoly sneaking in some crafting. It is rare to spend time with my boys one on one as they are usually a two for one package deal and stuck together like glue. This card uses a few new papers that just came my way, vintage buttons that I have been head over heels for lately from Remember Me Emily on Etsy and satin ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. When all of the paper in your craft room calls out for attention and you have to use them all...Yes, that was me today...why not? Have so much coming up and can't wait to share more with you as the month goes on. Taking a little time away from my Etsy shop to focus on branch out a little more in the altered art side...take up a little more sewing and really enjoy what crafting brings to my everyday life. Crafting is so personal and brings so much joy and needed me time to my life and when that begins to fade, which seems to happen in cycles, it is time to mix it up a bit and regroup. Just have to see where this takes me I suppose...Enjoy your extended weekend and for those of you that are entering your first week of back to school...best of luck!

Thank you everyone who participated...always inspiring and fun! After one week away from Paper Fashions Etc...I am back and ready to share a new set with you that I LOVE!This week I took these adorable stacked coffee cups and applied it to a basic strip of stamped cardstock to create a bookmark. A coffee break and your favorite book...couldn't think of anything better at the moment.This project uses the perfect blend and coffee with friends digital sets and Pick up time...my little men will be running through the back door soon and ready to eat, play and just kick it. Better be prepared...
