wow...

A week has passed, my dear sister has flown back home and it is time to get some motivation stirring for that spring cleaning that is demand around here. From one corner of the house to another, three weeks and a list of projects to finish...it will get done (ok, I hope I make it through). So taking a little break quickly to share a few project that were posted over the past week...This first project was for Momenta last week. Loved the colors of the paper. Next is this week's card for Chic Tags...Received this little tin in the mail last week from Maya Road and instantly used it for this card. Love how the tag fits right in. Finally, my card for Gel-A-Tins today...

Tuesday, right? Oh boy, time to get started and share with you a few new projects that have been created and posted over the past few days...This week Glue Arts and Little Yellow Bicycle have come together to bring you some fabulously blue and white projects. I decided to create a mini album and loved the pink and yellow embellishments on their paper. Created this card with him in mind using Snips & Snails and Coffee Break... Loving the BoBunny paper I found. So fitting the theme and bright.Today is also my first post for Pink Paislee. Oh how I love the colors of London Market and Spring Jubilee collections! So just a little update for anyone who has stopped by my Etsy shop in the past. I am taking a permanent vacation from my shop to focus on my health, family and love for crafting without "trying" to run a little business on the side. I tend to go through cycles and in a big one at the moment that needs to end in taking a different approach in getting to my goal before the year ends. Almost six years of the same up and down...think it is time for something to change. So...will continue blogging, crafting, mothering, cleaning, being wifey and adding a lot more...what is it, working out? Not the easiest choice to make, but think some are good at this part...just not me. Have an inspired, stress-less, guilt-free, spectacular day and thank you for always sharing a smile with me.

It is the day after....the Valentine goodies have been eaten, wrappers lay across the living room floor and the sugar highs and lows have set in. My little ones made a few precious little keepsakes at school for good ol' mom and dad, making me tear up looking at those little hand prints that seem to only be this size for just a moment. My youngest even opened the car door for me yesterday. A little gentleman he is. This week over on the glue arts blog is all about love...and loving it! Happy Valentine's Day! Cinnamon rolls are baking in the oven for my little men this morning, their bags are packed full of treats for their classmates and got news that I will not have to cook dinner this evening...I like that. Here to share a little Chic Tags love with you today.Remember, every Monday I will share a new card using the amazing collection of tags and badges here. Also, before I sign off for the day...This layout was created for Gel-A-Tins blog post today. I absolutely love this picture. It was taken a few years ago when my mother was visiting. We let them head out into the rain...splashing and giggling to their hearts content. For the first time they realized that you can dance in the rain and fun.

Quiet Monday, ready to make some Valentine's Monday...finally, need to finish reorganizing Monday. Hope your keeping warm and cozy to start your week. We are cold, but like all the cuddling here! Just poppin' in to share this project for Epiphany Crafts today. Found these wood birds at a local craft store and fell in love. So easy and fun to embellish to my hearts content. Making it quick today. Off to get my day started outside of my craft room now...

acting my age...

There are those moments in my life when I have tend hide, have a tantrum and kind of act like a child...well, today is one of those days. Time to visit the dentist today and it is probably my least favorite thing to do and sometimes wouldn't mind having someone hold my hand and say "just be brave". But as the time ticks by, and with my little men undergoing their cleaning at the same time I have to shake it off and act like it is no big deal. Time to act my age and put on my big girl pants. To calm my nerves while they are at school I am keeping myself busy cleaning, crafting and listening to some tunes from the 90's.
The "happy spring" card was created for Papertrey Ink's sketch challenge today. Used my Pink Paislee London Market paper, Papertrey dies and sentiment stamp from tag-its. Topped it off with my favorite felt flower. My second card was submitted for this week's challenge over on the Create blog. Valentine...
Added a few more varieties of yarn to my small collection for more flowers. Added a crochet flower, topped with a canvas button I created using the i-top, backed with pom-pom trim and added a little paper flower to the top of the button.

like a robot...

Happy day to you all! Another Papertrey challenge to dive into this morning and so excited about this one. I have mentioned so many times before...with a house of boys it is not common for me to craft for them but I have been making more of an effort.

So today my creation was inspired by the robots above...Used a mix and match of stamps...for instance, the antennas were created by using an ornament from Tag-Its #9, the background created from ticket die and the parts of the robot created from Home Made. There are more, but you get where I was going with it :) Think my little men will enjoy it. Ok, before I go just a little mini created yesterday...
Here's to a day of pinning some inspiration...thanks Papertrey!

got sketch...

I was recently asked to join Got Sketch for card sketch #138 and absolutely loved it. Of course I went with a few butterflies for the spring and mixed up the labels a bit. It is amazing to see how each person interprets the sketch. Well, cleaned my crafting space for something to come soon over at Chic Tags...a little get to know everyone. Busy week ahead and some fun new projects to come...spring inspired of course. Have a wonderful day!

when your in love...

Love is so many things...I spend my Sunday mornings watching Super Soul Sunday on OWN for hours in my pjs while everyone gets ready for the day. I have always been one to watch a movie, documentary, or even just a conversation and walk away asking questions, wondering and keep those things that stand out the most tucked away in my mind for later. A couple of weeks back, during a mini film "Soul Pancake", they asked people to define "Love". No matter what age, background, etc. they all ended it with the same thing..."happiness". So true. Something that makes us smile, draws us in and makes our day a little brighter. I love love!So this is a place where I share my love for color, friendships and creativity...Today's collection of projects are a reflection of me this week and always thankful to have the opportunity to share it with others!

clouds over head...

Some gloomy clouds are over our house today, fitting after a few off days. Realize that some days it is more difficult to put a smile on this face...oh do I try, but also realize that we have our moments for whatever reason and sometimes it just takes time to shake it off and move on. So, going bright and cheery today with Papertrey Ink's challenge...Love all of the free images and can't wait to use them all.

butterfly...

If you are a Papertrey Ink fan, like myself, you probably are participating in their anniversary celebration for the next week or so. Recently picked up the Friendship Jar stamp set and finally used it, and of course love it... Paired it with the Button Boutique stamp set, Prairie Bird Boutique wrinkle ribbon and some adorable tape from Martha Stewart. Happen to find this little orange butterfly and flower in my "this and that" drawer to give a little more color and dimension. This second card using the same set, but adding a little fabric and felt...When we moved to Florida six years ago I never realized how many butterflies we would get to see on a daily basis with flowers blooming year round here. Just the way their wings flutter, the amazing detail and color each has and there is just something calming about watching them scatter about. If only I could have a butterfly garden again, but with bees liking the same plants and my little men playing outside...not a good mix for us right now. Off to the craft store for some thread that is not pink, yellow or black. Not a football fan so much, so closing myself in the craft room and doing what I love most today.

Friday, down day, happy day, crafty day, oh my goodness what happened to our house day...yes, these can describe each and every Friday for us here...how about you? The kids are excited for the end of the week, as usual. We have eaten everything in the house and have become creative in making a meal. School papers and clothes are scattered about...just when you think you cleaned one corner of the room the other piles double in size. It is ok though...this is what happens and just gotta go with the flow.
Yesterday on the Momenta blog I created a tutorial on how to create this card and gift bag set...
Love making these. Lots of layers, as usual. Well, creating a bunch of new items to keep in my shop and can't wait to share them here soon. Busy weekend ahead and fun projects to share next week! Have fun this weekend!
