Its Fourth Friday challenge time again!

Well, you know the holidays are coming and for us crafters its time to get moving. I love the tradition of sending holiday cards. So...for this month's challenge - we want to see your Holiday cards. Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa - even New Year's - any Holiday card is fair game. The only rule is that you link up a project newly created for this challenge, although feel free to combine it with other current challenges out there in blogland. Although we would love to see all the art you care to share, everyone will be entered in the prize drawing only once.

One winner will be drawn randomly to win the prize. You have until midnight (EST) on Saturday, October 30th to link up your project. Just click the little froggy face at the bottom of this post to add your project.Your prize this month is this super cute Eat Cake Graphics cling stamp.

Here are my projects to share and it is just a reminder that we are so close to all of the wonderful holidays...
With this box I began with a clear box and felt ribbon (which I found each of these items in the $1 bin at Michaels...oh so long ago). I began to wrap the felt ribbon around bottom portion of the box and applied glue to the end to keep it together...covered the top portion with paper, used the festive fall wreath stamp to create a Christmas wreath and used the sentiment from the wonder stamp set to add a tag.I have been making many new Christmas ornaments in the past few days and loved making this little tree. Supplies used (from Paper Garden Projects) for gift set: the wonder clear stamp set, festive fall clear stamp set, copic markers.

This card is using the new digital cardinal set offered in the shop as well. I love the small lines, precious bird and ease of cutting. The sentiment comes from the fox set which seemed perfect for this card.

full of color...

Oh what a beautiful day...only wish my garden flowers looked this good right now.One thing I am today....completely full of color. I have been parked next to one of my scrap bins today shuffling through all of the wonderful papers and cardstock. Just poppin' in to share a few of my creations today and hopefully inspire you to dig deep down in your scrap bins and create away.
After creating a little apple card using school goodies by Whimsie Doodles the other day I had a perfectly good apple that should not go to waste. Used a little cork, which was die cut, and my favorite ribbon to complete this thank you card.The best use of scraps...embellishments or tags. This little 3" card was simple to make and allowed me to use stamps that have been tucked away for some time. I took out my stamps today and spilled them all over the kitchen counter. So fun and can't wait to share more with you over the next two weeks using them to mix it up a little.

Remember my favorite ribbon is from Prairie Bird Boutique, the little bird is from The Wonder clear stamp set over at Paper Garden Projects and everything else is from a little of this and that.

Here are my festive projects using Basic Grey Jovial papers, Prism cardstock and The Wonder clear stamp set...

oh, cut it out...

Something many will find me saying to my kids on a daily basis, but today...it's all about the paper and scissors action that has been taking place at my temporary craft station...the dining room table. After a fun day playing with MelJen's Designs digis...today I bring you Whimsie Doodles! I know...Halloween is almost here, Thanksgiving is just around the corner and Christmas is following close behind...but I wanted to play with color and use a little bit of everything.If you haven't seen these yet...oh my goodness are they adorable. The mini valentines set is easy to cut, paper piece and color! I happened to find some cork, eyelets and of course couldn't resist using as much colorful wrinkle ribbon from Praire Bird Boutique to finish off each tag. Difficult to pick a favorite, but since I never...and don't even own a pair of heels that one is probably my favorite. I love making shaped cards. They are both fun and unique. Using snowman cocoa, from this month's digi release, I cropped the image down to the cocoa mug and marshmallows. This time I was able to cut a little felt snowflake, add a little lace detail and finish it off with some amazing wrinkle ribbon. This card measures approximately 5".It has been awhile since I've used an owl and couldn't resist this time around while looking through the images. She is darling (and it isn't that often that I use that word either). Used owl my heart, a little bit of cork and a few touches of color with paper and embellishments.Last, but not least, as we are well into our school schedule and with so many thank you occasions still to come these little apples were perfect. I love mini cards...you can use small scraps of paper and your image really stands out. The image used here is from school goodies - pencil (minus the pencil this time).

two is better than one...

Especially in this case! I have been having fun all morning with MelJen's Designs images and here to bring you a couple of my "creations". Back in the craft kitchen this morning mixing up images to show you just how wonderful digis truly are. Although her digis are adorable in their entirety...when you crop, enlarge, combine you make them your own.

In this first card I combined fancy butterfly and layered flowers in a simple way. To make the card...print the butterfly image on pieces of paper, layer as desired. Fold cardstock, slightly larger than the butterfly. Attach butterfly near fold and cut around leave about a 1/4" border and leaving a small amount of the folded portion at the top to keep card intact. This card measures approximately 5.5". Tie on your ribbon (Prairie Bird Boutique wrinkle ribbon) around the butterfly body, adhere the tag, using foam tape add the flowers, add the button, thread and to finish it off I used a stick pin from Creations by AR.The teddy bear...so adorable and I finally used this one the way that I had imagined. Using teddy cookie and stitched country heart (freebie) I layered an extra set of arms on top of the bear image to make it seem like it was hugging the heart. Of course...I had to use my favorite ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique, the clouds came from a My Mind's Eye piece of paper and the remaining papers are from my scrap bin. When you have a large image, such as this one, it is a great time to use papers that may have be die cut and can easily hide the holes. Finally I used retro cherries, string of hearts and the little pink hearts are from piggy bath.

the sweet shop is closed...

Well for me at least. I have been a long time consumer of sugar and boy do I love to have it by my side throughout the day...but it is probably time to send it on its way. How do I break this relationship though when it seems to be in everything? Me and willpower don't always get along...ok, maybe more like never so this is really going to be a challenge. Thankfully, as I have mentioned many times before, I can still craft something sweet...so I did.

I wanted to fill this little house box with a set of tags that are ready to be used for little treat bags/greeting cards. I used small paper bags which are just stitched up on each side. Just slip in a little treat where the bag opens on top and it is ready to be given to that special someone!

Supplies used: sentiment edibles from Whimsie Doodles, yummy doodles from Whimsie Doodles, triple cupcakes from MelJen's Designs, strawberries clear stamp set from Paper Garden Projects, and wrinkle ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique.

Now just for a sneak peek of new felt flowers that will be appearing in my etsy shop tonight.

A pleasant day so far...not that I am expecting things to change drastically, but enjoying my Friday and hope you are as well. I have been in my crafting "kitchen" much of the day and can't wait to bring you a few new goodies I have whipped up celebrating the new releases from Whimsie Doodles.
