Just poppin in this morning to bring you the Sketchy Sunday card for 365 Cards. Before I lock myself away in my craft room for the day here are two cards created using the sketch of the day. Many wonderful cards to see, as usual, so don't forget to pop over and take a peek.This week's digital stamps come from a Sew Many Cards. I couldn't resist using this baby owl.

On the list of to-dos....

Spring is upon us and I have been working away on our house cleaning to-do list. Always growing, guaranteed lots of dust, and usually realize that life is just a little easier with less. Truly amazing what a little fresh paint, scrubbed floors, and a big trip to Goodwill and the recycling center will do to brighten our day and welcome a new season. Just crossing my fingers it will last more than a week :)

After a few long days of work I have finally been able to sit down and work on a new project that I have been so excited about. I have been so lucky to be given the opportunity to work with many talented women on two design teams, both at Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker and 365 Cards. This week I have added to this wonderful list.

MelJen's Designs is a place to find the most adorable, fun, and whimsical digital stamps. There are so many designs to choose from. I love the fact you can alter the size on your computer and print on any cardstock or paper you choose.

On this card I chose to use several different Crate Paper and Bo Bunny paper to print out the image and cut the portion of the image that I wanted to pop off the card. I finished it off using Copic markers, adhesive pearls, and a little glitter. (The image used in the card above is available for free by going to the blog! )

I am so excited to get started. You will be seeing so many projects each week from all three design teams. So much inspiration to draw from and I am certain that it will get your creative wheels spinning!

As my spring break with the kiddos begins I am off to plan my week ahead. There are many new projects to come in this next week along with a blog hop for MelJen's Designs and my project posts for both 365 Cards and Nikki Sivils.

There are rules...

Each and every day my kids say and do things that take me back to my childhood, and yesterday was no exception. It was right around dinner time when the usual uproar began and sitting down at the table with ants in their pants started to kick in. After a somewhat lengthy battle we gathered around in the living room for a rundown of the rules. It was then I had flash back of my childhood when my six year old said..."rules are boring and they are just not fair". In my mind I am thinking now I have at least twelve more years of coming up with clever ways of making the rules seem fun and sticking to it. These are the moments when I look to my parents to apologize and ask "how did you do it?"

Once the house was quiet, fairly early in the evening, I crept away to my craft room. Although the rain came down in buckets (and continues to do so today as well) I brought out the bright papers and got to work.



Hope you are enjoying your Friday. The weekend is upon us and I am ready to start in on our spring cleaning checklist. Now to find all of the easy ones before my hubby does :)

Pure Delight...

About once a week my three year old and I head out for lunch. It is always so fun to sit and listen to him carry on a conversation about almost anything. It is a time when I don't have to say much, but just listen to his silly way of recalling time spent with his brother or friends. It is truly a delight to spend an hour listening to my little man.

So today I bring two projects made for the occasion...

If you haven't discovered it yet...Creative Imaginations has come out with real wood sheets. They are stampable, paintable, you can even die cut them, and much more! They are amazing and think I found a new favorite. I used it in each of the above projects.

Enjoy your Wednesday. Off to try my best to organize the never ending stack of toys scattered throughout the house.

Creativity Blooming

There is nothing like creating with my mother! Over the past two days we have been working away in my craft room and playing with every type of material we can possibly find. Her creativeness and drive inspire me and I am thankful for the time we get to spend together.

So as we worked away we finally came upon little wooden pieces which she stowed away in her luggage. After two weeks into her visit we finally put our crafty hands together to come up with these little pincushions. So fun, so colorful, and so perfect for my craft table.

After three hours of rushing past one another, finding the perfect felt, stamp, and pins we have created several which will be seen shortly in my Etsy shop, my mothers shop (practicalelegance.etsy.com) and one will be included in the giveaway on Friday.

Springing Into Monday...

It's early Monday and ready to start this week off with a few items to share and an announcement.
